A Practice Built on Honest Advisory
Wildfern was founded in Bangkok with a clear intent: to offer straightforward, non-prescriptive support to the people running mission-led organisations.
Where Wildfern Began
Wildfern grew out of a recurring observation: talented, dedicated people running nonprofits and social enterprises in Thailand were often working in isolation — making important decisions without a trusted outside perspective to draw on.
Consultancies existed, of course. But many were large, expensive, and designed for corporations. The civil society sector needed something smaller and more human — a practice that would take the time to understand context before offering any kind of guidance.
We opened our doors in Bangkok in 2019, initially working with a small group of community-based organisations in Pom Prap Sattru Phai and surrounding districts. Our approach from the outset was to listen first, and to frame our work around what the organisation actually needed — not what we assumed it needed.
Over time, we developed three core engagement types that reflect the most consistent needs we encountered: clarifying mission, designing practical programmes, and sustaining leadership through advisory. These remain the foundation of what Wildfern does today.
Our Mission
To support mission-led organisations in Thailand through careful, practical advisory that builds internal clarity and operational confidence — without pressure or prescription.
Our Approach
We work as a steady outside perspective — respectful of each organisation's autonomy and experienced in the realities of the Thai civil society sector. We offer information and reflection, not direction.
Our Values
Honesty, care, and discretion guide every engagement. We are transparent about the scope and limitations of what we do, and we hold the information shared with us in strict confidence.

Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Strict Confidentiality
Everything discussed in our engagements remains between Wildfern and your organisation. We do not share client information with any third party.
Clear Scope of Practice
We are explicit about what our advisory covers — and what it does not. We do not provide legal, financial, or clinical advice under any circumstances.
Written Documentation
Each engagement produces a written output — a summary, outline, or session note — so that the work has a lasting and usable record.
Data Protection
We handle all personal data in accordance with Thailand's PDPA legislation, keeping records secure and retaining only what is necessary.
Responsive Communication
We respond to all enquiries within two working days and to ongoing client messages within one working day during regular hours.
Continuous Reflection
We review our practice regularly and seek feedback from client organisations to ensure our work remains relevant and genuinely helpful.
Advisory for Organisations That Exist to Serve
The civil society sector in Thailand is varied and active. From small community-based foundations working in specific Bangkok neighbourhoods to social enterprises serving rural populations, the range of organisations operating across the country is considerable. What many share, regardless of size or focus, is a need for clearer internal direction and more practical programme structures.
Wildfern operates at the intersection of purpose and practice. Our work is not about strategy in the abstract — it is about helping the people leading these organisations to articulate what they are doing, why it matters, and how to shape their work in a way that can be communicated, monitored, and sustained over time.
Advisory of this kind requires patience, sector knowledge, and a genuine interest in the work of others. These are the qualities we bring to every engagement — whether a single facilitated session or an ongoing monthly relationship. Wildfern is a small practice by design, and we keep our client relationships at a scale where each one receives attentive, thoughtful support.
